Saturday April 15th, 2017 The Great Debate will take place at the Auburn Research Library. This debate is a continuation of a debate organized by Killer Mike which aired on CNN before the election.
Three Teams will tackle three major areas of interest to the African American community: Economic Empowerment, Educational Reform and Criminal Justice.
The teams will be headed by Kalonji Jama Changa, Attorney Christine White and Shelley Wynter. Our moderators will be Andra Gillespie of the James Welden Johnson Institute at Emory University and Tom Jones of WSB TV.
The audience will be you and a handful of young people who will be asked to pay attention and give feedback at the end. The price of admission are any of the following: Books, Computers, IPads, Chess Sets, Pens, Notebooks, Projectors, Belts and any other critical items that young men will need for school or life. Please bring as much as you can donate.
